"Just wanted to send you a big THANK YOU for my week-end getaway that I used this week-end for my partner Sherm’s birthday present. We had so much fun! We stayed at the Friday Harbor House and had a wonderful room. The room had a full view balcony that we could sit and watch the ferry and boats coming in. It also had a Jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room so at night we could turn the lights off and sit in the tub and look out at all the boats and lights from the island. It had a gas fireplace and Sherm loved sitting there with his beer, watching NASCAR with the fireplace on. The dinner was OUTSTANDING. It was at Friday Harbor House's Harbor View Restaurant and the food was to die for. We SO over-ate and enjoyed every bite. We had oysters with a vodka sauce and I had a rack of lamb in a wonderful sauce and Sherm had a browned chicken that was so tender it was hard to believe it was chicken. We had some friends with us, and they had the halibut, which they loved.

The hotel and restaurant staff was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. When we went to the restaurant, they had our menu prepared just for us, they printed on it “Welcome Simplot party”. It was a very nice surprise."

"My husband, Gary, and I stayed for two nights, Feb. 21-22, 2007 and attended the Saviah Cellars Winemakers Dinner at Friday Harbor House's Harbor View Restaurant. We loved it! I asked our server if I could get the recipe for the potato fennel gratin and left my email address, and am hoping the chef will be willing to share it. The most amazing course (a difficult call since the entire dinner was belief!) was the amuse, maybe because I was not familiar with that course. It was amazing! Such stunning, beautiful flavors in a complicated "burst!" I would be so grateful to have that recipe! We hosted a wine dinner for our wine group the other night (of course we told them all about our experience at Friday Harbor House and showed them the menu!) and I tried to make an amuse bouche. It was pretty good, but didn't hold a candle to the one you served us. Thank you so much for a fabulous time! (By the way, we are the ones who were asked to "pose" for the photo shoot for your new website!)"

"Ron and I had a great time when we went to Friday Harbor with The Great Maggie II Giveaway. We enjoyed our flight up to Friday Harbor and our stay with all of you at The Friday Harbor House.  Our room was more than we could have hoped for.  The view of the straits was gorgeous.  The fresh fruit and all of the little extras were so nice.  I have placeed the hand written note from your staff in my scrapbook with all of the pictures we took.

The food, the food, the food!  Please tell Chef Ward thank you from us one more time. The Halibut cheeks we had for lunch were the best. Everything was just beautiful."
